We will be visiting Treasure Beach next month for the first time. This is our 7th trip to Jamaica. We usually stay in Negril. This year we are going to check out TB for 3 days before we meet our friends in Negril. We're staying at Jake's and we can't wait to get there! Does anyone have any suggestions of places to see, things to do, etc? Is there anything that we absolutely can't miss? This website has been extremely helpful to us. So we figured we would ask you guys for some tips. I thank you in advance for any suggestions you may have! ;)

I wouldn't miss eating dinner at the Wild Onion, and of course Dougie's rum punch at Jakes....and the boat trip out to Pelican Bar and the Black River...my big treat would be a steam and massage at Shirley's Steam Bath....only 73 days til I'll be doin it all myself..Have fun!

be sure to take a walk to GREAT BAY you will pass through private little coves and walk on ankle deep sand covered reef until you arrive at a wonderfull expanse of beach bordered on the other end by a majestic bluff, this is the end of the road and there is a charming fishing village populated with very friendly people,there are even cliffs and a cave you can swim into {for the adventerous, and get a guide]
while you are there, check out what they have to offer for your next visit, there are a few private villas for rent that are great deals, a good example of one of these is Blue Marlin and Coquina, they are situated right in the middle of the beach, here is the web site.

Check out Great Bay & Billy's Bay. They are both lovely.

I also went to Negril (18 times) before I went to TB 2/11-2/21/04. Maybe I got too old for the lifestyle of Negril, I don't know, but I like the pace and atmosphere of TB a lot better. Lovers Leap is real close. Go to the Pelican Reef. Eat at different places. Get a good cab driver. Ask for Ronny. Exploring is 1/2 the fun.
