Our friend Van gave me this photo and asked me to post it. He attended "Occupy Wall St." not too long ago and at Zucotti Park in NYC there was a drummers circle. Please note the T-shirt worn by the drummer in the center of the circle.

Great photo Van and thanks!

I am a huge Bob Marley fan, but there are millions of Bob Marley t-shirts worn by millions of people, so what is the significance of this one worn by this person ?
ONE LOVE !!

I agree MikeyMike and Spoooooky dude. I see lots of people on the show "Cops" in handcuffs and Marley shirts. It is just a shirt.

egads! Does everything have to be disected, analyzed, and debated? If, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, this one is a simple and poignant reminder of what Bob represented: truth to power at home and abroad. Surely MikeyMike, if you are a fan as you claim, you ought to understand this.

If Marley were alive today he would be singing about injustice in the world and the importance of occupy wall street. People, let's not argue about a shirt but march and protest to make this world a better place for you and me.

I just don't get it. Just because a guy has on a Marley shirt, are we all supposed to do backflips? So what? It is just a shirt! I happen to have on an old Pink Floyd shirt...Any Floyd fans out there?

I understand and agree with what Bob Marley stood for, and I agree with what the "Occupy" movement is trying to do.
Are any of the other people in the photo, opinion less significant because they DO NOT have a Marley t-shirt on ? I do not think so.
All I am doing is questioning why is the guy with the Marley t-shirt being pointed out for our attention ?
Actually, I think the guy in the mask is making a more significant statement about the situation then the guy in the Marley t-shirt !
ONE LOVE !!
Mike

Yeesh, sorry to suggest that Marley informs freedom. No big deal. I just thought it great that two of my favorite things: Jamaica and opposing economic oppression came together. I enjoyed seeing one of the musicians making the connection. Sorry if you don't. [edited by TB.Net]
