You will both need to be on the island for 24 hours, you will need your raised seal birth certificate and he will need his birth certificate (the newer version). If either of you have been divorced you will need your divorce papers. If either of you are widowed, you will need the death certificate from your deceased spouse. Lastly, you will need to find a lisenced marriage officer to perform the ceremony. This officer should be able to obtain all the paperwork for you, perform the ceremony, have you sign the necessary documents, and then he/she will submit those documents for you to receive your marriage certificate.

It is actually quite easy and if you would like a recommendation for a marriage officer, I can assist you with that. Just email me at treasuretours@cwjamaica.com.

Best wishes!

Any idea where I can buy babies breaths for my hair ?
(I'm wearing it up). A friend suggested a gardenia for my hair. If I can't find babies breath, will I be able to find a gardenia ?

Any ideas / suggestions appreciated.

Thanks.

How about my bouquet, any suggestions where I can buy that ?

The ceremony will be in Junction with a small reception in Calabash Bay (where we'll be staying).

Most of the time people just utilize the flowers growing in the yard of where they are staying. However, there are florist shops who can do a bouquet for you located in Southfield and Junction.

thanks Rebecca, friends of mine have insisted on paying for my bouquet (they're newlyweds). So I will buy my bouquet from a florist.

If any one has contact info re a florist in Southfield (or junction) I'd really appreciate it.

I'm arriving on a thursday & getting married on sat so I think I'll need to see about the flowers in advance.

I'll need my bouquet, a small spray for the maid of honor, & butoners(? spelling) for the groom & best man.

Patsy's Bridal Boutique in Southfield is 876-965-6222 and you can ask for either Miss Maggie or Miss Patsy.

LP's Flowers and Gifts is located in Malvern and the phone number is 876-966-5242.

I do not know the name of the one in Junction and I don't see it listed in the yellow pages. I hope to be in Junction tomorrow, so I will take note then.

Good luck!

Rebecca, what about Miss Jennifer for flower arrangements?

I have had a friend looking into the existence of a Rasta marriage officer in Kingston. She is affiliated with the Ethiopian Church there. After extensive research she has not been able to find anyone who is an official marriage officer. Thanks to Tina for all your help on this one!

As for the flowers, Eric is referring to a friend of mine who does nice arrangements in small vases for me when she visits. She is not a professional florist. Again, depending on where you are staying, you can probably just pick the flowers growing in the yard and make a nice arrangement that way.

I could have friends in TB contact her if I had more info.

We will be staying at Cacona (which we found on this site)

There are some flowers at Cacona and I live right down the road from there, so if you need more, you are welcome to take from my yard as well.

Also, I was in Junction yesterday and took this number down for you, Junction Bridal Shop 876-965-8619. They do floral arrangements, bouquets, etc.

Please stop by Cacona & say hello if you have a chance. We'll be there from 5/6-5/11. We're having a small reception / party on the 8th.

Virginia ?

My wedding went very well at Cacona. The sea in the backround made for lovely photos.
