The Greater Treasure Beach Citizens Alert Benevolent Society is clearing land in Frenchman's District across from Golden Sands (next to Kim's Cook Shop) Come out Saturday morning January 21st with machete, weed wacker, rakes or other tools and help us prepare the site for a little park for our community.

The Citizens Alert Group will be going out again on Saturday morning to continue clearing land for a Heritage Park and Fisherman's Memorial. You will find us across the road from Golden Sands, at the big acacia tree. Please bring rakes, garbage bags, weed wackers or any other tools you have to help with this very important community effort.

So happy to hear that the fishermen's memorial is still on the burner and that location could not be better. Sorry I am not around to give a hand.

Great work everyone. It is really taking shape!

Big thanks to the volunteers! Had a good time cleaning up. We'll be meeting again on Saturday, Feb. 4th at 9 am. Bring rakes, machete and plastic bags. Hope to see you there!

Dan/Rebecca, Great work on the cleanup last week. I will be there on Feb 4th. I have a couple of rakes. Nice effort. The clearing is being done as the first step to creating a memorial for the many fisherman whom have died at sea over the years.

Each Saturday I go by I see more and more work being done and significant progress has been made.

Right now Randy is in the process of cleaning out the well on the property.

Roger has been diligently cleaning up and overseeing the removal of larger stumps, etc.

Well done to all. I can already envision the finished park!
