Just curious. Is Miss Olive the lady mentioned in Don Noel's book 'Near The Far Sea'? She was the cook at Villa Hikura. Read this book two days ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Although not a native of Treasure Beach (from the Berlin hills but used to frolic occasionally in the sea at TB as a child) I am familiar with a few of the people mentioned in the book. Will wait patiently for the next one.

Oh Miss Olive, we will miss your beautiful Christmas decorations and lights but even more we will miss your smiling face and the Christmas spirit you always bring with you.

May God bless you with a wonderful holiday season wherever you will be and know you will be here with us in our hearts.

Miss Olive called me last night to tell me how disappointed she is that she will not be able to be here for the holiday. She knows how many of us look forward to watching the process of the decorations going up and then enjoying them lit. I agree, this ritual will be missed.

However, the most important news is she is planning on being here next year, God willing, and she will most certainly be here in spirit with us all this year.

Thanks Miss Olive and Merry Christmas to you!!
