Amen Turey! This isn't an American Right or Left, Dem or Repub fight. It all boils down to a fight for fairness, nothing more.

I see that Mike. I also see that there are some that would demonise those that have brought their frustrations to a public forum.

They should be careful of provocateurs who would initiate violence to discredit the communication.

In Pathfinding, the name of the road and it's characteritics may not be clear until one walks it. I believe that's happening now. I hope it is Freedom With Responsibility Way.

This blog verbalises well the frustrations felt by many. He also is not giving up.

Planning for the future.

Well, I'm glad to see the Webmaster allowed this blog Turey pointed us to, despite its language that is less then "nice."

The blog is also all true. We have seen the enemy, and he is Us.

Yes NAL, we are the 100%, we're in this together. It seems however that not all are interested in addressing what has been swept under the carpets. The so called 1%.

The 1% also includes those using violence and intimidation. Law enforcement, politicians and any among those in the streets.

By their fruits you'll know them.

Karin and I took our grandson from Pennsyvania to Occupy Wall Street last weekend. Here are my impressions:
1. A young crowd, not politically entrenched, but very idealistic.
2. The site is self contained: there's a food committee (free to all), a sanitation area (all must keep their area and all clean), a medical area, and many workshops, spontaneous music -- I have a great photo of a drummer wearing a Bob Marley T shirt that I'll bring with me on my next trip.
3. Nonviolent. Peaceful. Real.
4. Anyone (arrogant talking heads) who pretends that they don't understand "what they want" is an idiot: fairness, accountability, governance, the stolen money given back, the hate machine dismantled, willingness to pay one's fair share. "Imagine there's no countries...."
5. If I have a criticism its that the occupiers are somewhat naive: they believe the nation's leaders and wealthy elite still have some moral core that can be appealed to. One of the great chants is "We're the 99%" referring to the fact that one percent of the public hold nearly all the wealth.
6. It is self-powered. There's no over arching organization. It's increasingly spontaneous.
7. When the authorities ultimately decide the occupation has gone on long enough don't believe anything "they" tell you. Any violence will be provoked, any excuse will be shallow and untrue.
8. My second favorite sign: "I'll believe corporations are people when Texas executes one."
9. My first favorite sign: "I've never been prouder to be an American."

Occupy Wall Street is the real deal. It's significance will be seen over time. It represents an awakening by youth that their adults have failed them, robbed their future, and blighted their hopes.
