My friend and I are coming to Treasure Beach next week and I have two questions. First, are traveller's cheques in Canadian dollars widely accepted? And second, about the MoBay airport departure tax: is it payable in USD or Jamaican currency, and how much is it?

Yes, Canadian $ traveller's checks are accepted at any Cambio exchange center and there are a few places in Treasure Beach that can exchange them as well.

If you are flying any major airline, your departure tax has already been included in the cost of your ticket. The only time that may not be the case is if you are flying a charter airline. FYI, the tax is $27 USD or whatever the exchange rate equivalent is for that day.
