So the birdshooting season come and gone [edited by TB.Net] for another year (10 &1/2 months). It went out with a nice curry-goat party. It was like Christmas to the people of Bluntas and Lewis Towm. These two districts look forward to this event every year. Now who would want to take that away from them/us. Even the PM was here one weekend meet and greet and mingle with us locals.
The youngsters will remember years from now that they pick up birds for the PM.

I know that birdshooters have a bad reputation, and a lot of that is due to the actions of SOME birdshooters...but by and large I would say that the majority are responsible, conscientous and respectable persons.

Some of us are genuinely interested in the welfare of the people, communities and environment where we shoot, and this interest continues throughout the months outside of the bird hunting season.

We look forward to our times with the communities in and around South St. Elizabeth and look forward to the relationship continuing.

From Yard question? When we die, we are buried on the land we are fighting about right? because we cant take the land with us, so why dont we love our brothers and sister and stop worshipping material stuff. I never heard a man putting his house, his car, his money and even the land you are talking about so i dont see why fight are better yet we should take the land abroad with us.

Well said, 'Tired of the Fighting'. All of us are not going to like everything we all do. A little bird shooting once per year will hurt no one, and benefit quite a few. It is like bursting clappers at Christmas and New Year, some people hate the racket, especially when we get older, but we gladly put up with it. Brotherly love...right on bro! or man, as the hippies of yesteryear would say.

First thank you Spooky Dude. From Yard for your information I sure do, land and a home but can I take them with me? [edited by TB.Net]. When i was living there as a child we all use to play on our neighbours land did they tell us we cant use the land no, you know why because the land will always be there, so my point is when these bird shooters finish shooting the land is still there. From my knowledge they are all back where they are from and I can asure you if you have land in TB it is still there. I will be visiting next month so if you tell me who you are, I will personally check if your land is still there, since you sound worried. lol.

tired of the fighting, I am never worried about land in Jamaica or abroad! I know it's just an ignorant statement" wanting to check to see if the land is there". If you live abroad do you think these things can happen? I wonder if we are gonna take the land we have abroad why we worry about it so much and make sure we live by all the rules. What we are saying is Jamaica is just a lawless place.Just buy your land and make sure anyone who wants to use it can do so.. we should adopt the same in the foreign country.

I admire Bowl's persistence in showing his support for the "sportsmen". I see nothing wrong with SEASONAL bird shooting. It is done all over the world, and not just with birds. Of course every precaution should be taken in ensuring the safety of everyone but the hyperbole here is way over the top.

From Yard you were the one who thinks its a problem for bird shooters to shoot birds on a land without asking permission, so how does it become about me? Things happen all over the world not only in Jamaica, thats why we should all love our brothers and sisters, and not let petty things bother us. I think I already made my point, so I have nothing more to say, and who knows better do better, so you have a good evening and a great life.
