Just returned from the USA; several family members were surprised when I told them about people losing their jobs in Britain and other parts of Europe;worker expected to put in more hours for less pay. I think sometimes we become so pre-occupied with our own issues that we forget that others are in the same boat or that there are people worse off than ourselves. The bottom line is that this is a global recession, not confined to any one area or country.

To Beth & Jamrock...I agree with you both 100%. This is something some people fail to understand that hard times and poverty is every...Here in America people are poor just like anywhere else, we are of no exception in the U.S.A. I have seen people standing by the street side with card-board saying " In need of food & water" these are people who lives in the bushes. This is no fairy tales. In the winter people are sleeping in bushes and under over-pass bridges.People cant buy food, and pay rent here, some cant even find a house to live in. Many people here are loosing their houses and cars, because they cant pay morgage, and car payment...As beth said it's GLOBAL RECESSION. Some people think that in the U.S.A life is as gold, sorry, thats not how it goes...we feel the pinch here too, so when someone com bak a yard a giv you a soap. count it as blessing for trust me things ruff here!!!...Nuff love bak home

Are the streets really "paved" with GOLD in the USA ?
Is "a foreign" always better then Home ?
For some it is, for others it is not !!
Everybody's personal situation is different !
"He who feels it, knows it best"
ONE LOVE !!

Don't want to sound like the sky is falling, but just in the last 2 or so days there has been an increase in the chatter as regards a double dip global recession. The problem is not just the USA economy and jobs; Europe has serious debt issues too.Not good for anyone, so we gonna have to tighten that belt some more, grow more stuff in our backyard gardens, don't waste. And try to love one another, we are all in this boat together.
