We have seen a huge number of emails containing the new "Mydoom" or "Novarg" worm showing up in our inbox. We got 30 overnight!

The contents of the email say something along the lines of:

The message cannot be represented in 7-bit ASCII encoding and has been sent as a binary attachment. document.zip

DON'T CLICK ON DOCUMENT.ZIP. This is what contains and activates the bad code.

Its using a common technique of 'spoofing' its From: address. This means that the return address may be from one of your friends or a trusted site, even when they didn't really send it. I point this out because one of those 'trusted sites' is ours!

Rest assured, we are not sending any email containing viruses! (Our Macintosh computer simply isn't capable of being taken over by this virus.)
