I'm so Excited...you'll notice that in many of the Nostalgia images that the logo jamaicans.com ("out of many one people online") is embedded ("striped" through).
I would assume that many of these images are in the public domain, especially the historic prints pre-dating photography. I'm guessing that the Institute of Jamaica would have many of these archived.
jamaica.com has a page describing their concept of Copyright & since they had to exercise that right to post on their own site, there's an Email contact on the bottom of the page that their webmaster could probably answer your concerns and how to download or access "clean" copies of your preferred choices.

Hi Lo, I did not asked this question to offend anyone...My reasons for asking is this, I saw 2 photo that I love and would like to put them on Facebook, But I know if they have copyright and I do so I would be in trouble...Sorry if I have offend you, but I like to do the right thing!!
