There's a long-running thread here about goats, which prompts me to ask the question: what about dogs? Is it ok for land owners to poison other people's dogs who wander unto their property?

Dogs kept for security should be confined to yard. Pets will usually keep near home. Males will wonder at nights, especially when bitches go on heat. There are no packs of wild dogs in Treasure Beach.

"Daag nyam goat" is mostly an ignorant justification for cruelty.

I wish there was more cheap spay neuter services available. Neutered males are less likely to leave the yard.

If you are looking for a pet please consider adopting from Montego Bay Animal Haven or Animal house if you can (they will be spayed or neutered) Your adoption fee will help save another animal.

I have seen dogs poisoned who are on their own land. That is not only wrong but I feel it is criminal.

Maybe because I am American I have a softer spot in my heart for animals we consider pets. The idea of letting cats fend for themselves upsets me. I think not spaying or neutering dogs and cats is wrong, and I hate what some people do to female puppies because they are considered a useless bother. I hate cruelty against animals.

If you rear a good amount of goats you need at least one good dog to pen and catch them.My dog was so good; I just showed him which goat I wanted and he would just hold him until I got there.

People whose dog kill others goats at night need to keep them secure. Goat meat is too sweet and expensive for dog to be killing them. Let's not forget that dog's, the kinds we mainly rear, are expert in keeping evil spirits away from the home.

It is a known fact that children and young people who are cruel to animals often end up exhibiting this cruelty toward other people as they get older. When criminal behavior is explored, such 'warning signs' is usually overlooked by the family but might have been noticed by a watchful parent.

Nedd to walk with spray peper for protection, that will stop them. Is irresponsible of a dog owner and do not keep them secure in their yard.
