Can I catch a bus/van from the bus park in Mo Bay to Black River? Anyone know about what this would cost and when the bus leaves?

No buses are available, for that journey.
You can travel by route taxi or book a driver.

I have heard of rates for a driver range anywhere from $90 US to $140 US, depending on which driver you use. That rate would normally be for one to four passengers, one way Montego Bay to your destination in Treasure Beach.

Not sure of the cost of route taxi but i would guess that maybe between $20 or $30 US

Although the rates are quoted in US dollars, you almost always have the option to pay in other currencies such as Jamaican or Canadian dollars, discuss with your driver at the time of booking.

I travel by route taxi regular, but it can be stressful after a long flight.
I find that it is always nice to be met with a friendly smilin face and have a relaxed and enjoyable journey to Treasure Beach.

You can always try posting on boards to find a ride to share is another option.

Yes, I have taken a taxi several times. I just cannot believe that there is not a bus (or 2) that can be taken from MoBay to Black River...I willbe in MoBay a month before I head to TB for awhile. I am not new, just looking for transpotation options that will save money. I realize the bus will not be as enjoyable or as short as getting a taxi...

Left TB (Kingfisher Mall) @7:15 AM March 29/11 in Route Taxi to Black River cost $200JA.
Jitti Bus to Sav-a-la-Mar $250JA.
Jitti Bus to MoBAY $250JA.
MoBAY Bus Park to Airport $100JA
Arrived MoBay Airport at 12:00PM.
I did this trip leaving after 5 mnths and 3 part luggage. Service was great. Much Fun!

Arranged a private TB taxi when I arrived in November/10 at MoBay Airport for a rainy sunset & washed out road trip to TB. Could of paid for a hotel in MoBAY but visitng loved ones & Curry goat meal were priorities. We made it happen!

There is a bus from Kingston I'm told that stops at a 4~corner town (? Dawn @ Smurfs has info) above TB area & goes directly to MoBAY.

Much depends on arrival or departure of flights, travelling day or night. Season and how long stay in Jamaica.

So it sounds like I could catch a bus at the airport to Sav and fron Sav to Black River. Is catching a bus at the airport to Sav better than trying to get a bus from the bus park in downtown MoBay to Sav?
