To Marlon.
Isn't it enough to have real estate sellers in TB now?
They are active and selling all that people there wish to sell.
Sad to know so much interest in selling, especially family lands.

This is an open forum for TB, and should not become a real estate site.
There is nothing wrong with its present design !
ONE LOVE !!
Mike

I am not sure there is enough things for sale at any given time to justify a whole link to that. Seems to me when people have something to sell they put it on here and the same with buying. Should we get a link for piano lessons too? Sounds like youi just want to reach a large audience and not pay for it!

There is already a link for real estate. If you click "where to stay", look on the map to the left of the screen. In a box on the right of the map says "house and land for sale".
I enjoy looking at it every now to see what might be for sale in the area.
Usually day dreaming but maybe someday...

People could pay for real estate listings. There are some paying advertisers on this site like 'where to stay'.

Jeannie I never knew that link was there. The ad looks quite good. Rebecca I suggest you put up a direct link to houses or land for sale to encourage traffic and enquiries. I hope you are charging for what appears to be a very professional ad.

i agree to no real estate dedicated listing as this is a forum for community concerns etc.
Those who wish to buy or sell can easily find a realtor.

Why no real estate listings? Not all property for sale is listed with a realtor. I know it costs money to prepare an ad or maybe Rebecca does so for not much more then the cost of the ad. To me, running a real ad shows people there is something real for sale instead of all the listings we get that sound like 1 acre parcel not too far from the beach. Serious inquiries only. Who could make a serious inquiry with such little information.

It's not so easy to find a realtor and there is only one in Treasure Beach and some people want to sell their property independent of an agent. I've spoken to Rebecca about having a section where people can advertise products they may be selling, services they might offer etc. Suppose someone has a car in Treasure Beach they want to sell, why not have a section where they can sell it locally. The same would apply to real estate. Why not? Treasure Beach's own Craigs List.

A "real" link to Real Estate for Sale (as well as other items perhaps) would be a revenue generator for the site and does not in any way have to detract from the community nature of the site. I'm for that! There are many reasons NOT to use a realtor -- this is why so many people want to market and sell their own property. TB.net would be providing a needed service to its loyal followers by providing such a link...the current placement of real estate ads just does not do it -- that's why there are so few ads.

TB Net is not looking for a revenue generator!
By the way, there are also many good reasons to use a Realtor. Our analytical data shows we had over 2300 unique views from 74 countries last month alone on our little RE/MAX Platinum website. Now, which way do you think your property will sell the fastest and for the most money? And do you really want strangers coming into your home and you have no idea if they are even capable of buying your house? There are also more of us Realtors around than you think in your area, not just one as mentioned. Most real estate companies have their own website where they have their listings, including exclusive listings. The RAJ site has all exclusive listings. So there are dozens of websites to search for properties. Even FSBO websites. But please note that not all people who have a real estate license are Realtors, who must adhere to a strict Code of Ethics. Yes, I know that some of you have had a bad experience with real estate licensees at one time or another. But please I hope you do not lump us all in that catagory. Some of us work by referral, and if you are not happy, you certainly will not recommend us to your friends and family. Thanks!

No reason a realtor couldn't also post an ad if not for a specific property then for their services in general.
