We are finally almost able book our flights to come over for the first time in 3 years (too long to wait) For the first time ever we are thinking of staying over night in Mo Bay after the long flight from the UK, before driving down to TB.
Does anyone have any recommendations for places to stay, not too expensive in a quieter area. I've seen people make recommendations before and have done a search but can't find what I am looking for.
Many thanks if you answer

check "Knightwick" ... a nice quiet bed & breakfast ... just off the Hip Strip above Coral Cliff ... call Jean Magnus @ 952-2988 ... refer to the Lonely Planet guide book ...

What are you looking for?

Exact budget, how far from the airport (quiet and Mobay are kind of oxymorons in my opinion) what ameninites needed?

Tobys is my place always stay in Mobay.

less than $100 US per night one of the more affordable and acceptable options near the airport...

Carter's Guesthouse
4 Bogue Heights Blvd.
Reading P.O.
Montego Bay
Phone (876)-952-5675 are (876)-308-2222
Rooms are $40US ($50US with A/C).
All rooms have ensuite bath/shower and daily maid service.
Very nice yard and located just 2 blocks from good Jamaican cafe.
It is on the Negril side of MoBay, so easy to head to Treasure Beach without MOBay traffic.
My wife and I always stay here when in MoBay.

Thanks redbwoy, will check that out. Medat,we just need somewhere clean and comfortable, maybe just a bed and breakfast.I hate huge all inclusive type hotels and would love to find somewhere smaller. I don't know Mo bay but there must be quieter areas somewhere.
Last night I looked on Trip Advisor and saw the Polkerris and Vista de la Bahia. They looked like the type of places I had in mind ($100 to $120 a night) but have a minimum stay of 3 nights (irritating)Will keep searching...and thankyou.

Tobys is good. Not the cheapest, but still inexpensive, clean, quiet, and close enough to walk to 'hip strip'.
