Why?

Treasure Beach Forum: TB Runnin's: Why?

Why is it when there is a beautiful sunset, or a magnificent bird in flight, we say "Look! see the wonderful things God has done!" Yet when we see a disaster the response is different. Why is that? Is it therefore not the same God who creates a magnificent sunset as creates the deadly tornadoes?

Yes bob you are right! But not everyone is unaware of that. You see, we are a speck in the scheme of things and we are not privy to all the ways of God..there are mysteries not revealed to us and we should be more grateful for his splendiferous beauty and be in awe of his mighty destructive power. He speaks to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear, but he is hidden from the 'wise'.
Climate Change 'truthers' believe we create tornadoes by our over-production of CO2.
How could the the by-products of the Big Bang be full of so much self-importance is beyond me. I wonder if they realise how much better it feels knowing they were fashioned by a Creator for nobler purposes than groping in the dark trying to re-create the big bang in their Colliders

The question I have is, whenever someone survives a disaster, how come they say it's because God was looking out for them. Does that mean He wasn't looking out for the ones who were injured or killed?

What does this have to do with Treasure Beach, Rebecca & Eric?

And may I add earthquakes? Jamaica has more churches per capita I understand than any country. Maybe we can get some input for the clientele.

The most we can do is give thanks for being spared..but there are fates worse than death, it is said, so maybe the ones taken are the favoured ones.
Prayer is good, but to pray for victory for the Reggae Boys for instance, is not a good idea. Praying for the strength to persevere in your endeavours is Ok. Recognize that we do not have all the answers and even if we had them we would not understand them. The logical mind of man has determined that we all started from nothing..in a black-hole! But where did the nothing come from! Which come first, the chicken or the egg? God exist: deny that at your own peril, and do not question His motives either...Trust and obey. If God does not exist, then I am a figment of my own imagination, and therefore I don't exist! What do the bright sparks think of that!

How bout a comprimise? Let's for the sake of argument say there is a God, but no heaven? That seems more realistic than a bunch of spirit creatures meeting up with their dead relatives. Would be cool though, as I would love to meet up with Bob Marley and Garnett Silk! But Red Stripe is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy...

Bob, some of your comment and question are forbidden to be ask in the christian world ,the answer you will get is 'you are flying in the face of God , you are ungodly or God knows best'I sometimes wonder why little children born innocent in this world have to suffer so much , you see everyday in some country where they starve, enslaved and human trafficing make me wonder why.

Bob,are you looking for a genuine answer to your question, are you provoking responses.I would like to assume you have an enquiring mind, and is searching for Enlightenment. So let me say. When humans did not understand, fully, his world and all the events that took place in it."Old civilization",Where fear was an everyday experience, we had to find answers,so some humans litterally came out of the dark and into the light, OIL Lamp/Flash light/Eletric,and suddenly we are no longer afraid of the dark. science is the real deal."Modern civilization".
