Congratulations to Orenthia Bennett for winning a silver medal in the Class One girls 400m with a time of 55.26 at the Inter-Secondary School Sports Association (ISSA)/Grace Kennedy Girls' Championships (CHAMPS) held on Saturday, April 2 held at the National Stadium.
Orenthia is the daughter of Nanny, proprietor of Nanny's Bar located at the Kingfisher Plaza.
Orenthia has been competing and winning for about 4 years now. We are hoping to cheer her on at the Olympics one day!
Go Orenthia!!
Big Up, Nanny and Orenthia!
Great, the world record is 47,60 seconds since 1985. So, good luck to do the same thing like Bolt did when he ran the 100 meter record.
Good luck

Nobody wins a silver medal..the winner gets gold and the runner-up gets silver. There is a school of thought which says "you are all winners", but that's a crazy school! Congrats anyway!!
Orenthia,we treasure your silver.Silver is recognized by ISSA and the IOC. Proud of you young lady. You have set a good example for other young people in TB to follow.I am wondring which set of the Bennet's is her family.
INSPIRATION
"My heart is afraid that it will have to suffer,' the boy told the alchemist one night as they looked up at the moonless sky. 'Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams, because every second of the search is a second's encounter with God and with eternity.'"

Realist, why do have to be so negative? she didn't win the race but she did win the sliver medal, it wasn't just given to her.
Congrats Orenthia way to go girl, Usain Bolt too won silver look where he is now!!!
See you in the olympic someday.
Where is a bank a/c that one can give to support athletes like Orenthia?
I remember discussing this 25 years ago. Usain must have been little then.
Emotional support is vital. There are sometimes other needs that can be supported by those that would like to. If it isn't happening, pass it on.
If it is, could someone publish the info.
Congrats girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
U done well, contiue on the same path and one day ur hard work and will pay off.
Realist, I would like to see you run the race...Bet they don't 'give' you a silver. [edited by TB.Net]
thats awesome Orenthia, I know your mom supports you 200% so congrats to both of you, keep up the hard work the gold is on its way.
Glad my posting got 'sort of' posted. [edited by TB.Net] It is a fact that medals are earned and none are ever given. First second or third place. Geez.
