Whilst I have thoroughly enjoyed looking on your excellent website, I have been disappointed that I cannot find up to date information with regard to Income Tax - proper legal wage structures - proper costs of used and new vehicles - petrol/diesel charges per liter or gallon - proper structured legal scale for purchasing land in particular, your ares of the country. I can't even fine the exchange rate for$ja into £stirling. It has been slightly disappointing that none of the important subjects about your beautiful country are missing.

Perhaps if the website were brought more up to date on a regular basis, then you may be able to make us all happy.

Aw, c'mon. This is a community website, not a government primer or a newspaper.

It would be lovely to have all this infomation on this website, but I don't believe it's the function of this site. It seems such information would be more properly fitting on an official Jamaican government site.

For income tax information:

For wage info:

Not really understanding your post or question...this is a COmmunity-based website for Treasure Beach Jamaica...why should they make it their life's work to post or update information that is no of interest or applicable to most of the people that are viewing this site?

If you want detailled information about the information you listed in your post, why not google the items? The information is out there, you just need to look.

Again, I could be wrong, but I would say that the bulk of the visitors here are ex-pats who have land and/or family in Treasure Beach, but are now living a farrin, or Jamaicans from the T.B. Community who are no longer living in T.B. and wanting to keep current with what is happening with the community, family and friends. The rest is a great account of what initiatives and festivities are happening in and around the T.B. community.

Ask a direct question, or do a google search. Answers might come to you a little easier.

Bernard,

I don't think that the TB website is the place to find such information as it is essentially a local news and events site. I can suggest, however, that there are many exchange rate sites which will give you currency exchange info. Similarly, tax info and rates of pay should be available on the Jamaican Govt. website though I have to confess, I have never had reason to search them.

Hope this helps.

I do not understand WHY you would look here for such info. There are many other sites where you can get that info !!!

Sir, What we have in TB and Jamaica as a whole is a democratic, market driven society.Nothing is fixed. Everything is negotiable.Even Goverment will grant you waivers if you have a strong and compeling case.

The beauty about the internet Bernard is that you can google anything and get your answer in seconds. I know what the exchange rate is and I didn't get the information from this forum.

Hi Beth,

If you click on "Where to stay" and scroll down you will see the International Money Conversion underlined. Click on it and there you will find your answer.

Hope this will be of help to you.

For the other questions you may want to go to the Jamaica.Gov website.
