I can't believe someone would actually ask a question like this...so I guess if you are crazy enough to try it.....let's just say I'm glad I'm not travelling with you.

not recommending that you or anyone try it. but i know of individuals who have travelled from the u.s to ja with less than an ounce both by mistake as well as knowing and it was not detected.

i am not endorsing this in any way shape or form.

ganja/marijuana is illegal in ja and u can be arrested and charge for it .

Why would you take Ganga to jamaica? Would you take sardines or saltfish to Canada,Would you take a deportee to Japan or would you shop at a Dollar store in the USA and take the goodies back to China? [edited by TB.Net].

I am hoping no one reading this has tried bringing ganja into Jamaica. I also am wondering from what country this person is coming. In the US, I wouldn't attempt to slip aanything past the TSA.

This kind of thing makes me so angry. [edited by TB.Net]what kind of country do you think Jamaica is?It reminds me very much of some of the programmes I see on TV when foreigners are arrested on drugs related charges and they are shocked and horrified believing that they should be treated leniently or better still get away with it. I am not aware that this website encourages anyone to break the law so if you are foolish enough to take risks there are jails in Jamaica ready and waiting for you and by the way they are not 5 star hotels. I have it on good authority that there are plenty of foreigners from Europe and North America who bought into the sterotype that the Authorities are lax therefore they could get away with it.If you fancy spending time in 'paradise' with free food and accommodation then go ahead.

I was heartened when I reached the Immigration counter in MoBay. The officer asked me why I never came straight through the line for Jamaicans. Never saw the sign and anyway, my flight companions would have wondered why I was getting this preferential treatment. As my friends will confirm, I do not resemble the general image of a Jamaican.

"Like, hey, why're we watin', while that funny look'n biker guy is welcomed by the Jamacins?".

On the way out the all girl security were twittering about my name and bushical look.

Rob, think a few nights in a police lockup. Worst, the 18th Century General Penitentary in downtown Kingston. In he nightmares of many Kingstonians.
