The Barbary Hall Basic School welcomed Koriann South, Mini Miss Jamaica, with open arms on Friday, February 18. With the proceeds made from the Fun Day held at Sunset Resort a few weeks ago, Mini Miss Jamaica was able to purchase a TV, DVD Player and swing set which she presented to the Barbary Hall Basic School on Friday.

The program included:

Call to Order - Mr. S. Bailey
Hymn - Praise My Soul
Prayer - Mrs. Bernard
Welcome - Principal (Ms. P. Brooks)
Opening Remarks - Mr. S. Bailey (Chairman)
Introduction of Mini Miss Jamaica - Hon. Christopher Tufton, M.P. South West St. Elizabeth
Presentation - Mini Miss Jamaica, Koriann South
Special Item - Students of Barbary Hall Basic School
Vote of Thanks - Mrs. C. Samms
Closing Remarks - Mr. S. Bailey
National Anthem

A good crowd showed up to witness this wonderful event. The student body was very grateful for the gifts and the children were especially loving the swing set!

We commend Koriann South for rasing the funds and then choosing an area school which is a very deserving recipient of these gifts. We in Treasure Beach are so blessed with gifts of generosity from several organizations and individuals, so it is nice when that generosity can extend to other communities in the area.

These little students are so handsome/pretty.
What joy you brought into their lives.

Please keep doing what you are doing Koriann.

I can see you will one day be an Ambassador travelling the world helping children that need these types of kindness.

I can also see you are loved not only by your parents, but by all.
