Someone said there will be an art show at Calabash House this coming Saturday at 5 pm and it will feature the work of Treasure Beach artists like Guilty and Sally Henzel. Will any art be for sale? Any other details available?

Sorry we can't make the opening, but assuming the show will hang for a while will be sure to come by.

Wish this will grow into something useful for the area. There is a lot of talent in this area and I hope it will help some pf the young talents to grow and develop.

Congratulations to the organizers!

Mermaid Gallery is attached to Calabash House and it has all kinds of handmade things like jewelry, wood carvings, and handmade clothing, not only paintings. There are many things there for less than $25 and many things for more than that. Mermaid Gallery is open most of the time. If it's closed you just need to ask someone who works at Calabash House to please open it for you. I have bought several things there and they are really nice.

I went last year and bought one inexpensive painting. It is in our living room and we think of Treasure Beach every time we look at our painting. The artists are working on things all week and then they are hung in the yard at Calabash House. It is also a good social experience and a chance to meet new and interesting people.

Sorry I'll be missing it too. I love the little handmade things in the Mermaid Gallery and seeing new artwork would make it an even nicer experience.

This abstract art show is for one evening only, so don't miss it.

Did anyone photograph the images of the artists shown in the Exhibition. We are particularly interested in purchasing works by Sally Henzell and being introduced to the art of Barbara Kressler, Etta Wisograd, Deborah Leavey and others whom we are not familiar with?

Has Elizabeth @ the Mermaid Gallery provided a website to view the work of artists from the exhibit for those of us interested in purchasing work for our domiciles?
