We have to be careful. Is this increase counting the cruise ship visitors? They hardly come on land and the spend very little, if any money, in Jamaica. What we need to do is differentiate the hotel visitors with the cruise ship visitors.
The cruise ship passengers are counted as well as are the air arrivals. I would like to know the nights spent by paying guests in 2010 as opposed to 2009. It would also be enlightening to learn how many people stayed in steeply discounted accommodations, but that would be impossible to determine.
