Does anyone know if there is an ATM at Sangster?
or
How about the nearest place to change some dollars for a fair exchange rate?
Any help will be appreciated.
Yes,there is an ATM to the right of the pick-up area.
Thank you Carlton, that will make life so much easier for me.....
Hope it working when I arrive ;-)

Chelle
If that one doesn't work, there are some at the Texaco just after the Police Station (nearing Bogue) there are a few in the Bogue Shopping center as well.
Heading toward Treasure Beach there are possible ATMs at Whitehouse, 3 in Black River and if you drive crossroads instead of Shorthill road, there is one at crossroads shopping center.
Sometimes changing $ at the Texaco at Crossroads gives the best local rate if you have USD.
can anyone tell me if they have had consistent luck using the ATM machines to access a canadian bank account ? What are the user fees ? and are the ATMs interac ?
Thanks for your advice Airport Drivah, but we will be spending a few days in MoBay before heading to Treasure Beach and will need access to funds almost immeditately.
I would not exchange money at the airport as they give the worst rate. Any Cambio which can be found island-wide will give you a better rate. They are all over Mobay so just ask anyone where you are staying for the nearest Cambio.
As for accessing Canadian accounts, as long as your bank is hooked up to Multi-link or Cirrus you should be all set. Just remember you will get JA dollars out of the machine.
Rebecca is absolutely correct. Don't change any money at the airport. You'll get about 10% less than at any cambio. Hotels are also notorious for giving you lower rates, so I'd avoid them too.
Airport tips and your initial taxi fare can be given in Canadian or US dollars or British pounds.
Check with your credit card provider to see what sort of extra fee they will add on to any ATM transaction--and then figure out if/how to proceed before using them.
Airport tht worse rate for real
