I'm starting to feel like I live in the parish of Portland!

We had a short but very heavy rain during the night last night and now for about the last 2 hours we've had a very steady rain.

Predictions are the sea is going to get very rough tomorrow and the satellite shows lots more rain in our near future. UGH!

Well, it's been raining very steadily and hard at times without letting up since about 3 yesterday afternoon. We lost electricty for a bit during the night but it is back for now.

Haven't gotten a report on sea conditions but will let you know when I do. There is no breeze.

I love your spirit axel. Make lemonade when you're given limes. We'll soon have plenty pondcakes! Hoping for the best.

I know the canal eased the water level recently, but can anyone say if the canal itself suffered structural damage? Also, there was mention of a scheduled meeting between the MP and community members. Any word on what happened/is happening?
Big up TB.

Has any land area east of the canal experienced any flooding? I own the lot next to Kory South in Old Wharf near the big wall.

Ah, a beautiful sunny, South St. Elizabeth morning!! Gentle breeze blowing, flowers in bloom everywhere, birds singing . . . a lovely day!

We feel very fortunate that the brunt of the storm did not hit us and the predicted high seas never came.

Maro22, I have not been there personally but hear the flooding in that area was minimal. Your land should be fine from what I have heard.

Thanks Rebecca, your words are very conforting, the soil there absorve water fast, and everything turns green, and beautiful,so I know my property is ok also. Jamaica has 3 months of rain I should say South Coast, it is short time but bad at times. Soon, will stop and will be hot and sunny again, with the sea beeze.
