Lately I've been pre-occupied with becoming a better human being. Today I thought that, with the world being round, every journey must be circular. It follows we will end up where we started, and that we will likely see the same faces at the beginning and end of our journeys.

So then I have resolved to treat all women with love and respect and not as objects of lust; to treat all men as brothers and not as rivals; to treat all coworkers as partners and not as competitors, and to treat family as myself, sharing in their joys and sorrows.

Perhaps then, at the end of my journey, I will be greeted with love, respect, brotherhood, and fellowship, and treated just like family.

Thinking-this is so wonderful. If everyone could make and keep such a resolution what would be a wonderful world with beautiful people. I like it.

Hope so,people are funny, but respect, consideration and love to others is the main thing, you give it and maybe will get it back. How they say, treat others the way you like to be treated

This is an intelligent and thoughtful sentiment. I would also like to follow this way of thinking.

A good pre-occupation Thinking.

I have known lots of people with the same sentiments/values etc but have not lived by them unfortunately.

I had a friend who told me "People will treat you the way you allow them to" That is so so true. People who know me will know what I mean by that.

I agree that this is the way we all wish we could treat each other. However, in REALITY there are some poeple that will treat you very badly,and take advantage of your kindness. I beleive that those people do not deserve to be treated kindly. Anger towards such people is a natural human response. Don't get me wrong, because I am advocating violence (unless it is in self-defense), but I am saying that it will be very hard for a person to be kind when he is being treated badly.
One saving grace is that there are vastly many more "good" people then "bad" in the world !!
