Hi people,

We have just returned from Jamaica with the memories of Calabash seared into our consciousness.
I was hoping that their would be numerous youtube videos but apart from the amazing 'me vexed' [a performance I had missed, ] I cannot locate any.
In particular I would d be grateful if their were any footage/recordings of the final days two minute slots.
The one I would love to see was the 'johny to bad' based prose delivered with powerful conviction by I think one of the sunday best hessian dressed rasta men who based themselves to the right of the stage.

Memo to the organisers who must have recorded the festival , how about making available an audio\video product of the 'two minute slots'?

We have one or two pics which if computer issues get fixed We will be posting.

Thanks to the amazingly drilled jack sprat/jake staff who made the event run smoothly, it wouldnt have been as well organised in England!

Steve.

Steve.

From what I've been told there may be copyright issues with material uploaded onto Youtube, i.e. you give them the copyright on what you post. This may be acceptable for some Open Mike contributors but probably not suitable for the professional writers and performers.

From Youtube Terms:

8.1 When you upload or post Content to YouTube, you grant:

1. to YouTube, a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence (with right to sub-licence) to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform that Content in connection with the provision of the Service and otherwise in connection with the provision of the Service and YouTube's business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Service (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats [and through any media channels];
2. to each user of the Service, a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to access your Content through the Service, and to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display and perform such Content to the extent permitted by the functionality of the Service and under these Terms.
