I do not have a question (you answered all -- except the actual distance by road between TB and Kingston or TB and MoBay - or maybe I missed it) but I do have kudos to pass on to you for such thorough and helpful information. Seldom have I been given such quality information, including driving directions.

Thanks. The info has made me more desirous of coming to TB! How about that?

Gil

To gilbrathwaite, it takes approximately 3 1/2 hours to drive from the Kingston airport to Treasure Beach and approximately 2 1/2 hours to drive from the Montego Bay airport.

There are directions in the FAQ from both airports to Treasure Beach.

And I am very glad you've decided to come to TB. I'm sure you will not regret your decision.

Obviously there are parts of Kingston that it would not be safe to drive through right now. But my strong hope and prayer is it will be soon again. Let's concentrate our thoughts and prayers on resolutions, calm, peace and order to be brought back to Kingston.

I have deliberately avoided the Kingston airport for over twenty years, but decided to give it a try next month after hearing about all the newly built roads. Now, as luck would have it, this Dudus crisis had to happen. Since it's been a while since I've travelled there, can anyone suggest the QUICKEST route through the Corporate Area enroute to TB!?

I would hope and I do pray that by next month your arrival in Kingston will be fine. However, if anyone is flying into Kingston in the next few days I would recommend you try to change to fly into Montego Bay.

Unfortunately, the quickest route to TB will take you through parts of downtown Kingston which should be avoided right now.

Previous to this time, I myself have taken this route literally hundreds of times and up to two Sunday's ago visited the National Gallery of Jamaica located downtown and had no problems or issues.

The sweetest but slowest way is to turn to St Thomas at the Palisadoes roundabout and head East with food and camera stops along the way. There are hotels and guest houses in Port Antonio and other places for overnights.

Is the road through Newcastle to Annotto Bay open yet? That is a lovely mountain drive.

I am hearing the roads to and from the airport are clear and safe to travel once again.
