A year has now passed since I was in Treasure Beach, and oh how I miss it. As I sit here typing this, we are in the middle of some cold, snowy spring weather (In Canada), and its so hard not to long for a day on the beach in the most relaxing place I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. My wife and I spent 2 weeks in Jamaica last April, with the first week at an AI in Runaway Bay, and the second week was spent at Jakes. The first week was nice, but it was so, artificial, I guess would be the best way to describe it. For some reason I just felt that the second week spent in Treasure Beach work be so much more fulfilling, more of a real taste of what Jamaica has to offer. I wasn't disappointed. My wife participated in the Jakes Off Road Triathlon, which was the main reason for us coming to TB. But what we got was so much more than that. The people we met were awesome, and so friendly. We had so much fun being able to talk to everyone that we met, and get to learn more about this wonderful place. My only regret was not spending the whole 2 weeks down there. Were hoping to be able to come down again later this year, this time we would be bringing our 3 kids with us, so that they too can experience what we did last April. It truely was amazing. Here's hoping I get to see everyone we met real soon, although it won't be soon enough for me...

This time next week I will have approx 7 more hours to go before landing in Mo'bay! Five more days at work! This last month has been horrendous, every minute has seemed like an hour! Due to the volcanic ash my flight was cancelled, devastated I was!

Fortunately, they put me back on schedule at work and made sure I got another holiday date I wanted. Mangaged to book a flight, albeit it cost me further £150! There is nothing at home to do as everything has been ready for 4 weeks! Rearranged Gairy to come for me, my man has put the fish in the deep freeze, Evelyn my birthday party on hold etc etc...

I dont know what I will do if the flight got cancelled again! Commit hari kari!!

Looking forward to seeing you all sooooo much. My man's cooking (not the fowl foot tho ha ha) and loving, my ice cold beers up at Evelyn's, Jack Sprat's for pizza, Kitty and Winsome's cooking and Kevin's breakfasts, George,Omar and Andrew etc etc. Oh and cannot wait to see Ava and Zeb's new baby Sebastian.

Treasure Beach to me is all about the people and I feel (and am made to feel) like I am coming back home.

Although I made 4 trips to Jamaica the first of the 4 I spent 4 days in TB and am missing everything about it. Hope to get back at the end of July after too long.
