I AM STARTING TO BELEIVE THE BICKNELS WALL AT OLD WARPH IS THERE TO STAY. ONCE AGAIN THE AUTHORITIES THAT WE PAY TO PROTECT US HAVE FAILED TO DO THERE JOBS.
CITIZENS WAKE UP, STAND UP, STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS
sorry, but you missed the canal, the lake(after rain)entrance to TB,the unfinished houses along Old Wharf, the Carwash stations(oil runs in the sea from this)...
yes we should stand up for our rights.too much things a pass and not saying nothing wake up people wake up.
Has Nature or Anyone, stealthily, begun stuffing the gabion mesh-baskets at the Bicknell Wall with some indigenous plant soil to start seedlings of salt-spray-resistant plants & vines such as morning glory, clitoria...so that very soon when visitors arrive at the twee villa Shakti Home (with its meditative yoga vibe) or to Taino Cove, in all its home-grown, craft essence, these viewers of the beach-sea will, at least, be previewing a sea-side garden mound?
Believe it, Mr. Reynolds. We are raising our children into a sad environment and leaving them a horrible legacy because of our selfishness and our fear to fight for our rights. It is good we have groups assisting with providing education because I am afraid there will soon be no fish off our coast and we will not be able to even plant small gardens for ourselves.
The wolf hounds at the moon and the dog barks at the passing car. So it is with the wall; we only hear the echo of our own voice.
I heard someone say the other day that Old Wharf is beginning to look like Portmore. I'm beginning to see why. I see that someone has taken their bulldozers and firesticks to every living plant over there. What a disgrace.
In my eyes Old Wharf no longer looks like the rest of T/B. It started so pretty with many views of the sea and out of the way of traffic. There are many beautiful homes in many different sizes and styles so you can tell the owners cared about what they were doing. But too much has been cut down or plowed down or burned down. I feel bad for those who put so much effort into what they designed and built like Marblue, Miss Sally, Miss Winnie and Miss Julie. What a crying shame.
Last time i visited the Old Wharf i saw
a few new buildings, but otherwise it is still beautiful.
one love
