We are delighted to announce the winners of Treasure Beach Foundation’s 6th annual villa raffle:
• Stacie Evans won a week’s stay at Rainbow Point Villa. We have not been able to reach her tonight, but we know she has visited Treasure Beach before—and we can’t believe she would be anything other than delighted at her good fortune.
• Lisa Ginzel won a week's stay at Shakti Home. Lisa was totally shocked when she received our phone call. She said, “I was just speaking with my family about planning a trip to Treasure Beach—and now it can become a reality.” She also thanked Treasure Beach Foundation for all we do. Then she got off the phone with us to start making calls to her family.
We sincerely thank everyone who participated in this year’s raffle. Even if you didn’t win a week in a villa, please remember your money is going to help provide educational opportunities for the children of Treasure Beach. We hope you consider that as a “win.”
Oh My God!!!! My two girlfriends winning the raffle!! How fun is that!!!!!
Stacie and Lisa I am jumping up and down and screeming with joy for both of you!!
Now just so you know Miss Loretta at Rainbow Point and Miss Audrey at Shakti Home are both great cooks - so I will be looking for my invitation to dinner!!
But seriously, yes I am thrilled for both of you but even more thrilled to hear Ms. Kennedy tell me this was another successful raffle. As the designated photographer for when the announcement is made to the students as to who earned the scholarships, I will say my joy then is even greater than now when I see the students faces light up. This is a fabulous program and did not get that way without all the incredible hard work put in by Ms. Kennedy and the TB Foundation volunteers. And to them I would like to extend a very big THANK YOU!
And to all who purchased tickets and did not win this year which includes myself, I know for a fact no money has been or will be wasted.
Oh what a happy night!!!
I can hardly speak, I'm so excited! I can't believe I won. I just got off the phone with Karen, and could hardly process anything she had to tell me because the voice in my head just kept screaming, "I can't believe I won!!!"
Congratulations, Lisa, on your win! I, too, got off the phone with Karen and began calling my family. I really hope I can (finally) talk them into coming to JA. If not, I've a list of friends who will be more than happy to be invited!
Thank you, Karen, for all the wonderful work you do, and for your generosity. I can't wait to book my trip!
This is so wonderful. Thank You Treasure Beach Foundation for making a dream come true.
Just the other night I sat down with my brother, his partner Sarah and my little four year old nephew to talk about visiting Auntie Lisa in Jamaica. After looking at pictures on the TBnet photo gallery of banana trees, mangroves and coconuts, my nephew insisted he come to visit NOW !! Despite his parents patiently explaining that it would take time to plan for such a trip, he still demanded to come NOW !! There were tears but we finally got him settled down and onto another subject.
Thanks to this raffle my nephew will definitely get his wish very soon. The generosity of the villa owners and all of the people in Treasure Beach who are donating their time and services for this raffle is a marvel and a testament to the strength of our wonderful community. Thank you Karen and Peter and all of the other unsung heroes at Treasure Beach Foundation for making a little boy and his auntie very happy.
Congratulations to you both - I can feel your excitement! It's great to see your generosity being so well rewarded.
Big thanks to Treasure Beach Foundation and its driving force, Karen Kennedy.

We are Happy Happy for you Two
Congrats, ladies. A wonderful win for both of you and for the children of Treasure Beach.
Congratulations to the winners. I am already looking forward to trip reports and photos.
Stacie, I recall several posts you have made on this site. Based on the wonderful things you have written, I can't think of anyone who deserved this win more, including me. Thank you for being so upbeat and for always having such nice things to say.
I know you and admire you Miss Lisa. You do a lot for the people in TB, even though they probably don't know the half of it. You are an unsung hero. The world needs more nice and generous people like you.
CONGRATULATIONS FOR WINNING !!!!
Wow, what kind well-wishers! Lisa, you and I are very lucky indeed.
I'm getting even more excited about my trip now that it's starting to look like my family really will come down with me! Get ready for that dinner invitation, Rebecca (and Judy, and Jeanne, and ... we're going to need more chairs)!
Is this littlemamalisa? If so, good for her because she's so big on TB......and a doll to boot!
