I guess you are talking $1500JD (about ($17US).
That will be difficult, but check at Shakespears Cottages. I think they have some rooms for about $20US.

You may get a room at that rate if its for a weeks or more booking . We stayed at a nice friendly place in Gt Bay for 2 weeks at that kind of price earlier this year- their contact number is 876 878 9176, give them a call.
