I finally got around to working on some new images from our February visit. Be patient when trying this it does take practice but everyone has the ability to use their 3D vision. This is not a joke and I'm not trying to fool anyone for those skeptics. Printing the image may make viewing it a little easier.

Aim your eyes between the two eyes. Look through the monitor and into the distance. Think X-ray vision! While aiming your eyes far into the distance, pay attention to what happens to the dots. You may see the two eyes become three very easily. If that is the case, adjust to seeing 3D. Notice how your eyes feel and maintain the same feeling while you SLOWLY move your eyes downward to the center of the stereo picture.

If you see only two eyes, you are probably looking at the eyes themselves. Look through the dots. Try again. Aim your eyes between the dots and into the distance.

If you see four eyes instead of three, you're almost there! Relax and aim your eyes further into the distance. Let your eyes drift outward and make the two middle eyes slide towards each other until they merge or overlap. If you can't get the inside eyes to move towards each other, you need to relax your eye muscles more. Look farther into the distance. Imagine you are looking at a sailboat way out on the ocean. Relax. Breathe.

Enjoy (don't give up)

I forgot to mention that if the first technique does'nt work you can achive good results by slightly crossing your eyes (no , your eyes will not stick that way) to make the two eye images into three at which time you will see the 3D effect. This a little more work but you can still relax the eyes after getting the effect.

Great stuff harpomarc. I tried it (without any aid) and it worked. Reminds me of those marine artworks where, if you focused a certain way, like looking through the picture, you'd see otherwise hidden objects below the surface of the water.

Nice. I have one of the marine 3D pictures and some 3D clip outs from the Toronto Sun.
