Has this lovely custom ceased? I have appreciated learning about people I have not met or learning more about some I already have met.

I've been gently reminding the folks responsible for this. I will remind again. I miss the profiles as well.

I would like to request a profile of Mr. Hartwell Moxam of Sandy Bank. I believe he is the oldest living in that district, I might be wrong.

The profiles are written by Sandy Bank Primary students. When they send us the latest copy, we post it.

I've been told by a likkle birdie we will soon get a new profile. As stated above, as soon as we get it we will post it.

TBNet I notice someone requested a profile on Mr. Hartwell Moxam, if a member of Mr. Moxam family wants to do a profile on him, not a student at Sandy Bank Primary, are you saying this cant be done. Its very encouraging to see the students doing the profile, this certainly helps with their writing skills. However, I think anyone should be able to write a profile on whomever they wishes.

The Profile Of The Month section is a specific area we have reserved for profiles written by SBP students.

You're free to post what you want in the regular Runnin's area assuming it meets guidelines, including the subject approving of it being posted.

Great idea! I would certainly like to see the Sandy Bank students start to write these profiles again, but other people could do them too. One of the important things is we would want to see a photo of the person. There are people whose faces I recognize but I do not know their names or maybe I only know their nickname.

Well, bless up to the SBP students, as they are all wonderful. But with all due respect, there seems to be little interest on their part, as no profiles have been done for 8 months, and before that it is hit and miss sometimes. So for what it is worth, Curious has a good point. I feel it is better to have a profile written by someone, than go 8 months without one.

Firstly, I would like to express my appreciation to all Treasure Beach. net fans for the interest they have shown re. the profiles of citizens of Treasure Beach that have been written by Sandy Bank Primary School students. I must however apologize for the absence of the profiles for a while. I can assure you that very soon the profiles will be available monthly once more.

TBNet I understand you reminding us of the guidelines, I would understand if you had mention editing, but I do not understand what you mean by "subject approving of it being posted" when all we are talking about is a profile, could you please explain.

To curious: By "subject" I think TBnet means that the PERSON being profiled should be aware that information about them is going on the world wide web. It's just a courtesy so no one is alarmed at finding out that their personal business is out there.

I think they mean 'subject' being the person saying it is ok to post their pix, info etc

Yes, that's what we were trying to say: if you write about somebody, make sure that they agree to be profiled.

Apologies for any confusion.

Yes, it would be nice to see Miss Doris Reynolds profiled here.
Miss Doris was a friend of my late mother Mrs. Gladys James-Reynolds.
