Congratulations to all these students, making us all proud. Just to encourage you to continue doing well because your success is another kid's encouragement to also want to do better. Remember this site is visited by kids around the globe and they have their eyes on you.
Kimberlee, I am proud of you keep focus on this journey of success.( Fr:Aunty Carol..smile)
All of us who care about Treasure Beach are appreciative of the time-consuming efforts by hard-working, dedicated groups like Karen Kennedy's Treasure Beach Foundation to raise money for scholarships for the community's deserving kids.
Though many of us have to watch our own coffers in this time of recession, we might still consider donating to the Foundation, even when a raffle for a week at a villa isn't in the immediate offing. I'm sure we all recognize that the cause is a good one, whether we win a week's holiday or not.
Congratulations to all .Good Old Sandy Bank School is still shining.
It would not be fair not thanking Peter and Karen for all the good they have done for the community also.
Looking forward for more shining stars.
Excellent job and keep your heads real high.
I realize this is but one graduate of Hampton School, but I wanted readers to know something about Dr. Avis Glaze who was the guest speaker at this event and who is pictured above.
Dr. Glaze is known as an international leader in the field of education. As one of Canada’s outstanding educators, she has been recognized for her work in leadership development, student achievement, school and system improvement, character development and equity of outcomes for all students. As Ontario’s first Chief Student Achievement Officer and founding CEO of the Literacy and
Numeracy Secretariat, she played a pivotal role in improving student achievement in Ontario schools.
I am not suggesting all Hampton graduates go on to such internationally recognized positions, but Hampton is a wonderful place to start such a career.
Hamptonians regularly go on to university.
