Artisans and craftsmen/women will be creating and selling their creations this Saturday in Great Bay, Ms.Judy's place (HI-O) in Great Bay from 1pm-5pm.

To energize those attending Rebel Salute that night, freshly roasted ORGANIC BLUE MOUNTAIN COFFEE will be served, by the cup or pound. We will be rocking to the beat of the Rebel Salute artists tunes to get everyone in the mood for the greatest conscious reggae show in Jamaica.

A shuttle bus will depart Ms.Judy's at 5pm to head out to the Rebel Salute show, reservations required for this bus (about 10 seats still left). If you need round trip transport to the show, book a spot on the bus by calling 554-3141.

We encourage anyone in the area to come out to the event to support local artisans and farmers, have a good time, drink the best coffee in the world and also learn a bit about traditional Jamaican snacks (cashew and peanuts will be roasting, asham will be made in mortar etc.).

We have a small flyer which perhaps the webmaster can put under "what is new", as we are not skilled enough to attach it in this post or call # above for details.

Well, it is this SAT from 1pm-5pm, Ms.Judy's (HI-O) place is on the Great Bay main road, about a 1/4 mile or so after you turn into the village, it is the large two-storey yellow guesthouse on the right with a shop adjacent.

Local artistsans will come and display their stuff for sale and create on the spot. Some from further afield including a crochet expert who does lovely skirts, tams and scarves will also be there. No one pays to sell, so all craftspeople are invited to set up and display.

We will have a few fires around back in the garden where cashews, dry corn, coffee and peanuts will be roasted and you can see how some of the old-time snacks are created.

A St.Thomas Blue Mountain Coffee farmer will have fresh beans for sale and will demonstrate roasting. These are hand-selected, organic beans that are saved for individual sales (not sold to the co-ops) so the quality CAN'T be beat and the freshness never gets better than warm off the fire!

The idea behind the show is to give everyone an opportunity to show their handiwork in a local free event. Everyone is invited to attend and encouraged to support the vendors. If you need further details you can call 554-3141.

PLEASE even if you don't ride the shuttle bus, make an effort to attend Rebel Salute this year and support the greatest reggae show in Jamaica, which is held the same evening, just an hour up the road. The bus leaving from the show will stay the duration of the show and return to Great Bay the next morning.
