No place in the world is completly safe. But no place in the world is safer than Treasure Beach.
I feel safer there than at home, and I have a nice safe home!

You can not find any other place in Jamaica that is safer for a mother and young child !!
Residents of TB are community oriented and very friendly to visitors.Alos, there will be lots of local kids for your child to play with.
You will have a wondeful relaxing time there !!
ONE LOVE !!
Mike

Just returned home from our 10th trip to the Treasure Beach area...have been visiting various parts of Jamaica for 32 years..My 2 sons are ages 10 & 5..they have been to TB once to twice every year since they were babies..I have never been afraid for myself or for them EVER while spending time in this area(usually between 2 weeks and a month at a time)...My children beg to arrive and never want to go home..They have never been treated anything but the best by people of all ages! ENJOY!feel free to email me questions:-)

The vast majority of crime in TB is committed by mosquitoes, who seem to have an organized syndicate of some kind. Will the twice-weekly fogging resume?

Do they still use malathion to kill mosquitoes?

As some will question being forced to breath it when it is sprayed, the above contains much information.

DEET applied on the skin works well.

Mosquitos seem to be attracted to some people more than others. Taking garlic in sufficient quantity will deter them. If ones companion complains, take garlic capsules.
