Apologies if this has been posted but in the last fortnight in the UK we have been lucky enough to have a dramatisation of Andrea Levy's brilliant book,Small Island. It was fantastic and it's on the BBC I Player. Here are the links to both episodes. Highly recommended.

I'm a huge fan of Andrea Levy's books. I've not read one yet that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed.

Unfortunately, when I click on the link it says only available in the UK. So I guess I won't be able to see it quite yet, but I hope many others will - as if it is half as good as the book, you will enjoy it!

Rebecca I am so sorry it doesn't work for you. Hopefully you may be able to see it one day. I too have read all her books and all are brilliant. I'm waiting for her to write another one as soon as possible. Wishing you all the very best for Christmas and the New Year.

takes 18 hrs to download! it always takes a long time on bbci player, but seems mad that it needs that long, but it does!

I agree Barbara - this was really good - am hoping it will be released on Dvd very soon - I read the book a while ago. Having watched it on tv I am going to dig out the book and read it again.
