Glad to see the rebuild progress for Smurfs Cafe and hope to see the tin roof ultimately replaced with thatch again. It really added to the pleasure of sitting outside in the morning. Will Miss Dawn be selling her roasted coffee beans by the pound at the cafe? Hope so.

She already is and she will be giving roasting demonstrations once a week starting in a few weeks.

I am currently sitting in my place smelling Dawn's coffee roasting as I am down wind of it and, trust me, it smells great!!

Just picked up a couple lbs. last week still warm when I got it. I had a hard time finding the place as no one including Henry ,that i was with ,who is a life long resident never heard of Smurfs cafe. They all knew of Dawn and her coffee, maybe they should call it Dawns coffe place instead.

The official new name is Smurf's Cafe, but anyone looking for it can ask for 'the coffeeshop' or 'the bakery' and just about everyone will know where it is. The restaurant has had many names over the years, including 'Translove' and 'Heart of Love' but the undeniable truth is that LOVE has always been the key ingredient, and that remains true with Kevin and Dawn at the helm.
