...coupla years ago. I was enjoying a 'magical mystery tour. Procedure: starting early with a full tank of gas, food and toys, the tour heads of not knowing where the trip is headed.

Usually following the most interesting path, I have found myself in some wonderful company in special places.

So, we found ourselves in central Ja. Looking for an old bar and came on one quick time.

As good spirited strangers, we were welcomed and offered the house potions and tales from the crypt.

The bartender called a friend who told us he had a dream where an Arawak (Taino) man took him to the top of a rock in the middle of the local river and showed him a stone.

Right, he climbed said rock and now held a lovely polished spherical hardstone.

My friend then showed the bar their Taino pendant and I took out a three point stone that had just come my way. The bar was speechless, a triple kuntung (coincidence).

We were finally let go with promises to return and walkabout and drove on.

At a junction my friend asked which way, up the hill natch.

We passed lovely country yards and slowed at an old shop door now closed. Some pedestrians came up and asked how we liked the place.

We did and they took us to the nearby hilltop to the old stone church they were selling for a money. Turns out the old parishioners cannot make the hill walk again and wanted to see the property properly utilised.

It was a Maroon village that overlooked the area and still had the old warning bell that doubled as a church call.

The chief gripped my hand and looked in my eyes wanting to see my intent.

He 'saw' the Permaculture and craft concept immediatly and invited us to work with them. They still lived free of divisional politics, wore smiles and loved work and sense.

I just came upon the photos. One day I'd like to go back, for my sake as they have so much to teach me and for me to take a few choice tools to help a deserved transformation.
