I'll be visiting Treasure Beach for the first time in mid September. Can you please tell me what to expect as far as weather? I know it is the rainy season but have read that it doesn't rain much in TB. Is this true even in September? And, what are the average daytime and nightime temperatures? Does it get cool at night?

I can't wait! Thanks for your help.

There is no "rainy season" in Jamaica.
September is the middle of hurricane season, but so far a very inactive one (Thank God).
September will be hot during the day (about mid-upper 80's F) and at night warm (about mid 70's).
If it rains, it is usually short afternoon showers that does not last long, but is very good for cooling things down a bit.
ONE LOVE !!
Mike

Thanks Mike. Forgive my term "rainy season" - my man is from Kenya so that is how he refers to hurricane season (although it's not the same). Your feedback helps a lot. We are trying to pack as lightly as possible and it looks like I won't need to bring jeans and a sweatshirt like I would in November or December. I am so excited ... never been to Treasure Beach before.

First Timer - It's unusual if the nights go below 75 in TB and the daytime temperatures seem to be about 85. Sometimes a bit higher if there's no breeze. I couldn't imagine wearing a sweatshirt when it's 75. If you go up to Southfield or Malvern you might find it to be 65 at night because of the altitude. Some people up there actually have working fireplaces in their homes and need to sleep with warm blankets. Oh, there USED to be a rainy season in Jamaica but the weather patterns have gotten really weird in the last 10 or 15 years. In TB it's extra dry so they PRAY for rain.

I would still say long pants and a long sleeved shirt are a good idea because of the mosquitos at night.

I have learned the hard way from many trips to Jamaica and other 'hot, tropical' places that it is always a good idea to carry a light sweatshirt or light jacket. There always seems to be at least a time or two that it comes in handy regardless of the time of year. Sometimes the breeze off the water at night sitting out having a drink can get a little chilly or being out in a boat in the early morning or evening. Sometimes I say to myself "oh I won't be doing that" but you just never know what the day will bring. Have a great trip.
