I am sick and tired of a handful of people who hide behind a nom de plume and bash everyone and everything that appears on this website. The latest is the posting of the minutes of the BREDS meeting. Why do many who make absolutely no contribution to events, just, in the privacy of their homes and on their own sweet time, have nothing constructive to say? If you are addicted to the site like many of us, go on, read and be informed but for goodness sake, STOP THE UNNECESSARY BASHING!

What's YOUR real name and email address, Disgusted? You are hiding behind yours as much as the others. How about YOU stop bashing?

Who are you and where are you hiding? You took the time to hide behind an alias to make a point that I deem is important to you,so why discourage others from doing the same. This is not bashing, in our defense we have a right to analyze, rebut and challenge the statements and commitments not lived up to by the folks representing the issues we oppose. This is as constructive as it gets and demand for accountability is not always a pleasant one.

The fact that the majority of posters use an alias is in itself a symptom of something that needs to be named and explored. If we can get our collective courage together. I know! who likes the possibility of being mocked publicly? An art many have mastered. Or worst.

The shackles are not all of iron.

I know some of the historical and cultural reasons for our reticence to speak up and be counted. Many seem to be unwilling to discuss these things even behind a non-de-plume.

I also know that Houdini's tasks were nothing compared to the inner conviction and discipline needed to slip out of our various shackles. These times beg our effort.
