Ahhhh or should I say Mmmmmmmm . . . this is one of my favorite times of year.
And as someone who does not have a mango tree in my yard, I am reminded of an old Jamaican saying this morning, "Good friends are better than money in the bank." Thanks to all my good friends for all these lucious mangos!
Aren't I a lucky girl!!
Goodness Gracious, my mouth is watering right now! BE- U - T- FULLLLLLLLLL
OMG!!! Rebecca, Why did you do this to me? I get very home sick looking at those lovely mangoes, I would eat 1 dozen of that big red one. I don't too like the common ones that much. "I want my mother." Thanks for that mouth watering pix.
Another Jamaican favorite of mine !!!!!!!!!!
I am very LUCKY that I can get them here in New Orleans.
ONE LOVE !!
Mike
i prefer the green skin and number 11s personally, think i will go sink my teeth in a sweet one right now ...
I love to juice the common mangoes and cook things using the juice. And, well of course, mango juice, ice, a packet of cocount milk powder, a little Tia Maria and some vodka in a blender always makes for a lovely cocktail!
What are your recipes?
Hey! Rebecca, I have a joke here for you. Did you know that you can get 1 dozen mangoes with just 2 of those mangoes? Here dis. 1 of the number 11 and 1 of the common one, then you get a quick dozen.(smile)
Mango is the king as long as it's a bombay picked ripe. Still anything better than nothing when it come to mango.
We make do with bartlet pears and some force ripe mango trucked from south.
Your cocktail sounds pretty good Rebecca but I'm not so sure about the Tia Maria??? but then again, I'm willing to try anything once : )
why are you guys teasing us with the mangoes
A ripe sweet bombay mango blended in with some vanilla ice cream !!!!
ONE LOVE !!
