My husband and I are thinking of renting a cottage for a week - Heron's Reef really looks like something we would be interested in. Has anyone stayed at any of these places? Any input (good or bad) is welcome. We probably won't be there until early next year in any case.

I have stayed at Herron's Reef recently. Overall it was good.

The two of us liked it's location right on the water and in the middle of TB, relative privacy, and friendly caretakers. And its microwave, toaster, and blender for mixed drinks.

We didn't like the mosquitoes it had due to poorly installed screens, the way that people walking by on the beach can see right into the house since there are no curtains on the main entry way, or the price which seems high for what you get.

It seems like the dislikes would be pretty easy to fix...curtains, proper screens, and some nice privacy shrubs along the fence line. If these were in place, it would be worth its $100/night price.

Hope this helps.

We stayed at Herons Reef a few years back and we really liked it. Nicely located and private.
Weve also been interested in staying at Faihill Villas, but we were put off by its close location to the noisey bar in the area, so we passed on staying there. I like it quiet at night.
Dont know anything about Ashanti Village..

I've stayed at Fairhill Villas and found it very nice. I might have a couple of pictures from the inside of the villa, if you'd like me to look for them and e-mail them to you please let me know.

I don't have any additional photos of Ashanti Village, but I will say it is a lovely place. Very clean and Miss Aleeda keeps the gardens looking beautiful!

We stayed at Ashanti Village in 2008 and it was quite lovely. It's very clean with a yardful of interesting flowers. Miss Aleeda and her husband were very hospitable but gave us privacy. It was a very good value!
