I am looking for information on the unfinished vacant white house/villa facing the beach in Calabash Bay - next to MarBlue to the West, I think. What is the story on this property?
the property belongs to floyd hunnigan,a jamaican boxer, living in London, his father has a home near Barbara Hall,
The house belongs to the boxer Lloyd Honneygan. He's had numerous offers to purchase but is not interested in selling it.
I think it would be a good idea if Lloyd Honeyghan would sell the property and let someone finish the house and maybe he can rent a room whenever he visits T/B.
Thank You, I am just super curious - what is his plan for it??? I keep having some very vivid dreams of it, completed and beautiful. There has to be some story here????
Is this the house where they used to have dances/parties in the grounds but then it got damaged in the hurricane. Or was that the house further up the hill? Maybe in Barbery Hall? I heard that he never had it repaired.
As I said, he has been offered huge sums of money for it but will not sell.
What do you consider HUGE sums of money?
Look, the man does not want to sell it for any amount of money. That is what he has said and that is what he has stood by for the last fifteen years.
Ok Ok don get upset, I am just really curious what the deal is. There has to be more to the story!
Just 'curious'? I think there is more to the story for you. Pehaps you are really 'curious' because you are thinking that you would like to buy it. I think you are more than curious. Be honest
I would say the only story we need to know is it is not for sale. Anything else is immaterial.
Who cares? Maybe the rest of the story is not your business!
nuff said, thanks
well if what I heard has any truth at all then so be it!!! nuff said!
Hello All,
I am JUST a visitor with a HUGE fascination with your town. In this economy I am not a person of the means or money to purchase any property, honestly! This doesn't mean that I don't dream of living amongst you all. It is a COMPLIMENT to the people of TB not a threat! I am here at home wishing I could be there and trying to find ways to make conversation and stay in touch with a town and its people that I fell in love with, THAT IS ALL!
I did not mean to disrespect anyone and I apologize if I overstepped my bounds! Thanks for educating me on what is appropriate and what is not and forgive me for my California Attitude, we talk about everything
LOVE AND RESPECT, Lisa
Littlemamalisa all you did was ask a question that everyone wanted to ask for a long while but wouldn't. I am from TB and I have wondered about that place many times. I don't see why some people are getting hot under the collar. The only stupid question is the one not asked.
Thank You Cuban - I was feeling a bit bruised there. I have had so many doors close in my life since my magical visit to TB in March! The end of a long marriage, my only child turning 18, my beautiful family dog of 12 years passing on, important people leaving my life. Some momentous endings. When I came to TB so full of expectations and was SO satisfied to find that there are MANY DOORS READY TO OPEN FOR ME. Even if it isn't possible for me to live there with you all in your paradise it made me realize that the world is my oyster! So many places to explore and people to meet. So many relationships to create! TB gave that back to me and I am incredibly grateful! A few new doors here opened recently that helped me scrounge up enough money to visit this summer! Can't wait to step off the plane and feel my heart swell again! LOVE
How's that for being OPEN ??? Now you all must know that I am no threat to you - Only love in this here heart!
It's great seeing you making your steps Lisa. From agonising about wild 'daag/dag', accepting us and our runnings and little ways to exploring the possibilities of making a home here.
If you decide to be with us make sure that all your US stuff is in order. I would advise you to select a lawyer and doctor here, have copies of important papers with you and have access to originals. I'm sure any advice you need will be available here. A few steps down the road but always good to be prepared.
And as some wise one said, keep the Guardian Lions at the gates of your openess awake. No matter where you are.
Best.
Lisa,
I can certainly understand how you feel in regards to how TB helped in giving back some of your 'life' so to speak. Many people cannot understand how that can happen and that's ok. I love TB and I've followed your 'dreams' in your posts and I am a bit amazed by the number of people who seem to try to discourage you and that bothers me, along with many of the posts that seem to show up that seem to be negative towards foreigners.
We all have dreams and I know I ask questions alot to try to make those dreams come true but that doesn't mean that anything will ever come of it. When we stop dreaming is when we stop living. I do understand to a degree why some people are against foreigners coming in with businesses but that is another story in itself.
Don't let anyone anywhere ever discourage you from doing something or stepping through those open doors. just be careful. Best wishes.
