There was some reporting in the media, during the past year, that
Jamaican petrol stations would not be allowing the use of some foreign (USA) credit cards in payment for their product.
The issue, I believe, was over the "insufficient" fees they we able to collect on transactions.
Does anyone know if this policy went into effect...it certainly affects how much cash/travelers cheques one brings on a visit.
I don't know about US credit cards but I use my Canadian one...no problem. Just have additional ID with you.
