We have been coming to Treasure Beach for many years and have been looking for a way to give back to the place that has given us so many beautiful memories. Are there volunteer opportunities for mere visitors? I know your community takes pride in the Sandy Bank Primary, the women's group, the fishermen, and that there are groups that come in to volunteer from time to time... but, is there a way for a few visitors to be useful? It would really make us happy.

It would be wonderful to have somewhere in TB where people can go to see if anything is on a "volunteer list".

I think many people want to give back to our wonderful community and we should be grateful to have these "give back"offers, whether its helping an elderly person paint their home, help pay a childs school fee, hep dig a new ground or plant etc etc

Could BREDS organize such a list?

We all need to give back at some point in time...

My name is Katie Loveday and I will be helping out the TB Women's Group from June 2nd as the Volunteer projects coordinator. I would be happy to chat to you in regards to any volunteer opportunities that maybe available with the Womens group as I am sure that all the other brilliant organisations of TB would. There is lots of help needed in the area and it will be simply a case of seeing when you are coming, what options we have available and what you would like to do! Feel free to contact me on the above email address or from June 2nd I will be at tbwgjamaica@yahoo.com . And you are so right it is a great community!

When I visited Sandy Bank in March Ms. Zane had mentioned the want for planting of the Garden in the center courtyard. I don't know if that is high on the list of priorities, I just remember her mentioning it.

There are countless ways you could help out during your vacation. Some people organize a little party for local children living near their villa or guest house. Others drop into the basic school to read stories to students or organize a beach clean-up. Check out the 'Community Groups' listed on the masthead and contact them to see if they have any specific needs. All help is welcomed and appreciated. Thank You.

Hello, Potential Volunteers...

Depending upon when you'll be in Treasure Beach, I may be able to arrange some way for you to assist in the community. Please e-mail me.

Do they conduct summer camp/s in Treasure Beach? If they do , I am sure that volunteers would be welcomed.
