Could the following Island Outpost "special" deal be the real reason for the urgency to have the seaplane landings approved for Treasure Beach?
So that their guests can get from property to property without having to drive across our beautiful island? (drivers take note, as you stand to lose those fares if this is allowed).
I quote:
"Island Outpost (www.island outpost.com) offers rooms at Jake's hotel, near Bluefields mountain, from £60.
The company also has a weeklong stay in Jamaica with two nights at Jake's, two at Strawberry Hill in the Blue Mountains, two at Gee Jam on the northeast coast and a night at the Goldeneye estate, all inclusive, costing £687pp. A night in the villa in which Ian Fleming wrote Goldeneye costs from £1,618 for six, with meals and private beach."
Seems like a lot of Hustle and Bustle. How can one relax and enjoy?
This could well be the case.
No doubt its just because the economy is slow...and wow what a great price to take advantage of those great locations. I"m sure however if you requested the seaplane it would be at your service!
I always try to think the best of people. In this case I am trying to figure out what the benefit to Treasure Beach could possibly be and I have no logical answer. Instead, I can figure out how it could benefit exactly one person. Something is wrong with that equation.
Will the de plane bring jobs to Jamaicans? Transporting tourist for day trips from the north side? The 2 minute flight from Black River to the Pelican Bar - What about Sam and other fishing families whom depend on the income from tourist. Every mickle makes a muckle. Landing in Wally Wash Pond- watch out for the birds-Will the tourist spend money and time in Little Bridge at Beris White Shop. Who will benefit? What about peace and quiet.
We are still waiting to see the plan for the plane service. I cannot imagine how it could bring jobs to Jamaicans.
NO plan will be presented. I could bet what I own on this.
