I went to Newcombe Valley years ago in search of an elusive XK 120 Jaguar (car).

The car continued to elude but I was struck by the beauty and civility of your community.

I noted you spoke of your Grand Dad who was a noted craftsman. I have posted before of my interest in craftwork especially fine woodworking and guitar making. Do you or anyone have stories about the old crafts and craftspeople?

Tunlay work which is wood lathe turning of bed posts and chair and table legs. Fine turning of cups and vases, artistic wood or stone carving.

Fine weaving of hats and baskets.

Etc.
