what happen to these poor people i heard got hurt and killed from T/B. who are they and what happen. my sympathy.
omg i was frightened wen i heard the shocking news this morning can i get more info
How senseless this mornings car crash was.
Seemingly due to carelessness and in general, that youths never believe such a tragedy can happen to them.
A young life is no longer on this earth.
Treasure Beach parents, teachers, families of the young ... it is YOUR responsibility to try and get the lessons out there to the youth of how ego, carelessness, speed, drinking and drugs etc. can and will lead to loss of life.
Of late there have been several cars speeding through Treasure Beach with the young and inexperienced behind the wheel. No one seems to warn them of the consequences. I suggest that if they speed or are careless through our little village, that they be made to do some community work each and every time they are reckless.
It is YOUR childrens lives at risk, whether they be in the car, or walking on the side of the streets.
Before any more lives are lost, please, I urge you to sit and talk with your young, and explain the value of each and every life and how easily it can be obliterated.
We too were shocked and extremely saddened to hear of Carly's untimely death this morning. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. Her family has been coming to Treasure Beach for over 20 years and are very much an integral part of this community.
At the same time we want to make sure accusations are not thrown around. None of us know exactly what happened to cause this accident this morning. What we do know is a group of friends were traveling together. No one expected or planned for this to happen certainly not the driver.
As a community we will mourn Carly's death, and as a community let us support all who were involved in this horrible accident this morning not laying blame but showing love to each other. None of this was intentional and if any of us had the power over time I think we all would turn the clock back, but we cannot. So let us use our passion and energies into supporting and uplifting each other at this very very sorrowful time.

Brian , Debbie and the whole Thunder Bay community, my heart is breaking for your loss. We have truely lost a member of our Treasure Beach family. I will keep you in my prayers and hope our paths cross again soon.

Billy,
Selling the cottage is not the answer. You have been a part of the Treasure Beach Family for so long. It is an unfortunate, sad and tragic situation and my condolesence to the family and friends. The cottage should be a reminder of the place she love and not to be associated with the tragic circumstance that happen. It should be a place that you can go to reminise on all the special time you share.
I'm here in Treasure Beach today and I can respectfully say that many people are very saddened by this tragic event. I didn't know her, but I'm so sorry so your loss.
Dearest Debbie, Billy, Brian, all of you.
I have been crying all day for your loss. We are all mourning with you, there are no words to properly express how we feel. We send our love, sympathy, support and blessings to you. Your family is a strong and loving one, Carly was proof of this! Together you will hold each other secure through this most devastating tragedy.
All of our love Debbie(Mama), Terry, Cherise, Carissa(Kissi), Dwayne and Brenda.
A very sad time for all.
I hope your spirit can rest in peace Carly.
My thoughts and prayers are with the families.
Lets remember her smile.
The entire community of Treasure Beach is shocked and very saddened by Carlys untimely death.
Let us learn to be more cautious when on the roads,
and let us live with forgiveness in our hearts.
It is a tragedy and loss for all.
My sincere and deepest sympathies to Brian, Debby, Carmella, Bill, all relatives and friends. This is a terrible and unexpected loss. Carly was a beautiful young woman inside and out. God bless you all and know you are in my prayers. This is no time for judgements or reasons why, this has occured. It is a time for love and support, kindness and understanding. My heart is breaking for all.
With Love,
Annie

To the family, friends and fiancee of this beautiful young lady. I'm from T/Beach, but I do not know her, but I can see she was loved by everyone who knew her. My prayers are with you all. Just to let you all know that God will take care of you all. He has a shoulder waiting on you all to lean on. This is a terrible lost to family and friends. Just let these words be a comfort to your hearts.
Lord, give me strength
When troubles come my way,
As I in You abide
To face testing each day.
Give strength that brings a victory
To triumph over trials,
To turn each sadness into joy
And face life with a smile.
I'll hide Thy word within my heart
As I plant it fresh each day,
And water it with praise
Each time I thank and pray.
That inner strength will take me through
No matter what's to be.
If You are walking by my side
I'll walk in victory.
-Helen Gleason.
Love ones never died, they only say good bye.
Bill...my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family...no words can express such a loss...she was a beautiful lady and will be missed by all...god bless
As a memeber of the Tresure Beach family I would like to send my deepest sympathies to the family of Carly. Although I did not know Carly, when I ready the article in the Gleaner heart sank. As an avid hockey fan (I live in Canada) my heart goes out to Taylor forf his loss. This is a real tragedy but seek comfort in each other and God. Know that you have the support of the entire community, there in Treasure Beach and beyond.
Dear Bill and family, deepest sympathies,my heart
goes out to you from across the water,
" Only when you drink from the river of
silence shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountain top,
then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs,
then shall you truly dance"

I was just reading the Vancouver Sun and it said Carly's mom was also injured in the crash. Is this true?
This is such a sad time for everyone in Canada and Treasure Beach.
My heart goes out to each and everyone but,of course mostly to Carly's mom and dad.
I hope the residents of Treasure Beach will find it in their hearts to sympathise with the parents of the the driver also as they too must be in deep pain..shock..sorrow at this time.
No blame please. It could have happened to anyone young or older.
May God's blessing keep you strong.
No, that is not true. Debbie was not involved in the accident.
I have heard there will be a memorial Mass held for Carly today at 11:00 a.m. at the Pedro Plains School.
I did not know Carley. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
Bill i am so sadden with this news, this is a time when Treasure Beach residents should all sympathise with both side of the family. No one wanted this to happen? My heart goes out to you and your family, and my heart goes out to the driver's famly because both family are good people. They are also feeling the same pain.
May God continue to give your family all the strength.
I am so sadden to hear of this tragic news Please don't blame anyone, it could have happen to anyone? My heart goes out to both family they are feeling the same pain, and shock. The family of the driver was so close to Carly's family. It could have been the other way around.
Billy

can someone with a credible knowledge of the accident please explain to the viewers what exactly happened.my sympathy to the family.
Many stories are circulating, but the fact is the accident is still under investigation.
Dear family of carly and Bill,
We heard on weekend of the terrible accident. Our condolence to the parents of carly, to Bill and the hole family. The suffering is only difficult to reconstruct. It is terribly when a young person is suddenly torn out of life. We wish you much strength and patience in this difficult time. Also much strength to the driver and his family.
i dont know carly, but no one wants to loose a child especially in such a tragic way.my sympathy to the family.think of carly this beautiful angel you will meet again someday.i am reading all the condolences and it looks like carly was dearly loved in treasure beach and abroad.rest in peace carly.
Life is so precious yet so fragile. Such a beautiful girl. So sad.
It is with much sadness that my thoughts and prayers go out to the grieving family of this beautiful young lady, Carly; to the other occupants of the car, and to all the extended "Treasure Beach family" It is not for us to ask "why?" but to see how Carly's life had impacted those while she was still alive and now the many she will still impact through this tragedy. May her soul be at peace.
Our deepest sympathy to all the family & friends of those involved in the accident.
The whole of Treasure Beach is sickened and saddened by the untimely death of this young girl. We are offering up prayers for everyone who knew and loved her and and also for Craig who must be suffering so much right now. Let us use this opportunity to insist on some speed limit signs put up in the area and see that they are adhered to as the young in Treasure Beach are amongst the worst offenders anywhere in Jamaica and I myself have witnessed time and again, cars driving at reckless speeds and some even whilst driving school children.
Sincerely,
Sally Henzell
Billy,
My heart goes out to you and your family. I know Carly was special to you. May her soul rest in peace. I hope you have lots of support around you at this time.
Jan
My heart goes out to the family of ms. carly bragnalo in such a difficult time. It is never easy to lose a loved one. For all the others that were in the car we are happy you are ok. For my boy craigy i can't even begin to know what you are feeling right now. but i have known you all my life and i know if you could you would take this back in the blink of an eye. We are good friends and my best wishes goes out to you and your family. Let us pray for strength and courage in this difficult time. "ONE LOVE GOD BLESS"
sorry to hear about this accident in treasure beach my condolence goes out to the family
I am truly saddend by this news and wish to offer my condolences to the family.
All of the other people in the car are NOT ok! The three Jamaicans are ok, but Marcy Kawahara was airlifted back to Canada with HEAD and NECK injuries. She will NEVER be the same..
Shadows fall and life becomes so hard to bear...
Soon comes the sunshine through memories of those weve lost, those weve loved and those whove
cared.....Peace and love....from someone who just came from there.
She was airlifted back to Canada? Can anyone please give me some type of an update? This is absolutely awful.
Trust me to know carly is to love carly she was a beautiful person.
I have wanted for days, to find a way, to share my grief with the Bragnalo and Malanych and Pyatt families.
I met Carly only once, over a dozen years ago in Thunder Bay. She was dazzleing in her early teens, as she was in the recent photo that Bill has posted.
I want to say just one thing.
Say that all people on earth, are like flowers in Gods garden, each one different and unique. When God sees one, that is perfect in every way, and that He loves, He has the right to pick it and humans will NOT have any say, ever, we cannot understand, ever.
We can only KNOW, that Carlys spirit went straight into Gods hands.
Peace
Clearly noone involved in that accident will ever be the same. Not her fiance, not her parents, her brother, her uncle, her grandmother her friends(that includes the driver, her friend craig)noone will ever be the same.Lets not even try. The best we can do is support those who are left behind to deal with the overwhelming loss and consequence of losing someone so vital to her loved ones and even her aquantinces. Even random strangers having had the good fortune to bask in her beauty while they shared the beach with her will not be the same. The Jamacians are not OK they are hurting too. All the places she touched by just being there. Eggy's at sunset,Carley and her girlfirends at the beach sunning, boating, all the hockey games, Thunderbay crowd moved around Payatt's games, dinners and drinks fit around porch at South Jamin,Carlys friends and family socializing at Coconut Cottage. Even in her silence she said more with her eyes than some can muster with an hour of dialouge.I feel blessed to have had the chance to spend time with her before she left.Carly spoke with such confidence about her relationship ,upcomming her wedding. Her plans seemed solid and her life appeared to be in order and this is what makes it so hard to take in.It unfair that she would be taken.I for one will miss just knowing she is out there adding class and style to rustic nature of this area. I will never see the Jamacian flag again without seeing Carly. No one will ever be the same again. My thoughts and prays go to all those who loved her. I have not heard about the condition of Marcy but i am sure when she heals physically she will still be challenged with the emmotional grief and loss. as will everyone else. year after year after year I would see Carly , always surrounded by loving friends. loving friends that will one day allow the blessing of her life stand up over the tragedy of her exit.
Condolences to Carlys' Family. She was such a sweetheart, she was love by most,Treasure Beach will never be the same without her,We love you in life.we still love you in death.Carly touches the life of many of us here in Treasure Beach.
R.I.P
To Carly's family and to Craig, his family and all the others in the accident my prayers are with you. Hold on to the precious memeories of your loved one and remember that blame and bitterness will not bring Carly back. Please keep this little poem as a reminder that "your family chain will link again" especially if Carley had a relationship with God and you do - then certainly you will meet in eternity.
OUR FAMILY CHAIN
We little knew that morning,
God was going to call your name
In life we loved you dearly
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone
For part of us went with you
That day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories
Your love is still our guide
And though we cannot see you
You are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one
The chain will link again.
‘We Love You Dearly’
My heart goes out to Bill and family, and to craig and family, what could have gone wrong? i know Craig will never be the same. My friend Craig i have known you for a very long time and i know you are hurting. Caley, may you rest in peace. it is a sad time for both family.
This tragedy has touched so many lives, hopefully we can support those in need most and use love as the instrument to accomplish rebuilding a path to healing.
To all the members of the families suffering who will have to painstakingly carry on with their lives, I wish comfort and peace, memories of smiling faces and happy times to lift the heaviness that weighs on their spirits.
My heartfelt sympathies at this sad and unbelievable loss.
Condolences to Carlys' Family. I Would like to dedicate 'I Praise You In This Storm' to every one involved in this sad time. Click the link below to hear the song.

This for for all the people and their families that were involved in that car crash.
First I am praying for everyone. I am asking God to stand beside each and everyone to help them through this sad and troubled time.
For Carly's mom and dad please accept my condolences.
For Marcy's families may they find the strength to care for their loved one.
For Craig and Junior parents I know you too are suffering silently......Please believe me when I say this,my prayers are with you all.
In saying all this I hope this will be a wake -up call to each and everyone to take it a little slower behind the wheels.
Accidents do happen driving fast or slow so let us all "SLOW DOWN" We might save a life including your own.
Brian told me this morning that Marcy has been released from the hospital and is expected to have a complete recovery.
Wishing Marcy continued healing.
What a beautiful song submitted by DM. I trust Carly's family and the others who were involved in the accident, along with their families and loved ones will find comfort in this song. When all is said and done, only in Him (Jesus Christ) can we find true comfort which is lasting.
Just remember that there is peace in the midst of the storm. I too have experienced the death of a loved one. When you are grieving it seems like it will be forever, but time heals all wounds. You will forever have memories and flashbacks but just focus on the good the person did while alive. Trust me - it really works! It's also good to socialize and find comfort in talking with friends and well-wishers about the good your loved one has done and the joy she brought to your lives. Just take it one day at a time and don't forget to pray!! True peace and everlasting comfort only comes from God. God Bless you all.
My love and grieve and sympathy goes to my beautifull friend and her mother, father, Bill and all her family. When I got this news today I am in a state of shock. It's really hard to face this reality. Knowing that we lost such a wonderful person. Carly you were so kind and friendly to me and that is a special gift. I remember hanging out in Treasure Beach enjoying life together. Going to the fisherman bar, dancing the sweet reggae music. Looking at moonlight and reasoning about things of life. Those moments will linger with me because they are worth more than silver and gold. I am so sorry that this thing happen if I could turn back the hands of time believe me I will. I will love to see you in the place again and again
LOVE CLOVIS AKA SUNDOWN
I've just posted some photos in the Photo Gallery of the bonfire on the beach held Wednesday night to remember Carly and of the family's departure on Thursday morning.

Thanks so much Rebecca, it means a great deal for us to see the love and support of Treasure Beach's wonderful community embracing Carly's family. hugs to all, so sad.
Thanks for those wonderful pictures Rebecca, this is really a touching moments, especially those with the bus... OMG!!! they bring tears to my eyes. Where was she buried,in Jamaica?
Rebecca, I would like to ask u if u know how everyone else is? How r Sophie, Southie and Craig? As I heard they were also in the car. We know Craig was there.Anybody else in the vehicle? Tek care everyone, best wishes and love to all that were involved.fr. kissa
My deepest condolences go out to the Bragnalo, Malanych, and Pyatt familie. I am hoping that everyone else who was in the accident will be fine. I have not been able to get Carly and her family out of my mind. I recently had the pleasure of meeting them in Jamaica; and they are a wonderful, loving, and friendly family.
I've heard most of this information second hand, One Love, so I am not sure of the accuracy of it, but what I have heard is Sophie had some injuries to her hand and Southie was a bit bruised, but both are doing okay now. Marcy was released from the hospital and is expected to have a full recovery. Craig is still feeling back and neck pain. Not sure of the prognosis.
