Oh no, Treasure Beach has been discovered. Page 52 this week's NY Magazine..."Bypass the resort compounds and head to Treasure Beach, a string of sleepy fishing villages along the island's southern coast. Get your oxtail fix at Oliver Dutch Pot, which has a rotating menu that includes curried goat and jerk pork, or feast on baked crabs..best with a cold ginger beer at Sister Lou's River Stop. Stroll the tiny shops of Little Bay, about an hour's drive away, where artisans make and sell traditional wood carvings, ceramics, baskets; you can have hands-on demonstrations or buy ready-made pieces. Book the terraced Abalone Upstairs room at Jakes, a congregation of shacks and cottages. The resort can set you up with free snorkels."
Goodness, this must be stopped!

Here ya go. Scroll down a bit. There is a nice picture of the Pelican Bar.
meaningless...
What's meaningless? This is more or less the same info from the New York Times piece from about six to eight weeks ago. At the first seaplane meeting, Jason said their PR people were the ones who had it placed. Either New York Magazine got the idea from the NY Times, or Jake's PR agency was also in contact with New York Magazine.
Jake's has excellent PR.
the article itself is completely meaningless, doesn´t say anything, really.... ok, yes... there´s one link...
Here's the link to the article from the NY Times: http://travel.nytimes.com/2009/01/25/travel/25jamaica.html
Wish the various articles would reference TB.net.
I wish the NYmag article didn't say you could do water sports in TB.
Though I suppose that sitting in the sea drinking a beer could be considered a sport. :-)
